I forgot to mention that:

I GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I had just mailed my last application (out of 5, my God) when I got an email from the director of the program requesting that I set up time for her to call and talk to me. Then, yesterday, an hour after I got off the phone with her, I got an email saying that I GOT IN WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

(I hesitate to give any more details about the specific program, because I want to make sure it isn't some kind of hoax. But it's my first choice, so whatever happens from here til August, it's just icing on the cake.)

So now you know. Dreams do come true. You, too, can earn the prestigious right to spend 5 grueling years driving yourself crazy with academia. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
