Here, Let Me Make You a Hug

Would you like to hear about some girly craft project I'm doing? Oh, come on, it's not like you're doing anything else.

But first, let me ask you this: have you seen this commercial?



Isn't that just adorable? A little cheesy, yes, but it still kind of makes you feel warm inside. It also made me think, "You know, I bet I could crochet one of those little hug things."

And so that's one of the things I've been doing for the past few weeks. Allow me to share my progress with you.

First, I watched the commercial very carefully and then drew a fancy plan.

THEN, I crocheted some stuff:

I've got two of these. Now what?

To be honest, this is a pretty ridiculous undertaking on my part, since I've really only been crocheting seriously for a few months. Also, usually I have a pattern to work from, a pattern which has been written by someone who knows what they're doing, and not just some nonsense I scribbled on a scrap of paper.

Anyway, I've created the front and back of the Hug Creature. Now all I've got to do is just figure out how to connect the two sides, stuff it, and give it a face and arms. I'm practically finished!
