Blurgh

I am exceptionally out of it today, so here's a series of loosely related thoughts...

I overslept by A LOT this morning due to a combination of a misbehaving alarm clock and a bad case of insomnia. As late as I slept, the only reason I woke up when I did was because the maintenance guys were pounding on my door so they could come in and change my air filter. If they hadn't come by, I might still be asleep now.

We had pizza at work today in honor of my upcoming birthday, and that was lovely. It also nicely counterbalanced the jokes that my officemate kept making about how I was going to be fired due to tardiness.

I bought a new alarm clock that will also play my ipod, so that's cool.

I enjoyed the song "I Kissed a Girl" when it was first released, and that was fun while it lasted, but I think it's about time that Katy Perry be stopped.

Did I mention that the first thing I did when I woke up was send my officemate an email, subject line: "ACK!" ?

According to my former boss / co-author, the response we got back on that paper yesterday is no big deal and should be easy to respond to. Somewhere, in an alternate universe, there is a version of me that accepts criticism with grace and aplomb.

Does anybody have any tips on what kind of face you're supposed to make when people are singing happy birthday to you? Also, what do you do with your hands? Is there a way to prevent people from singing to you altogether? It's too late to avoid it this year, but I'd like to start preparing for next time.

She does need to be stopped, i saw this crazy clip from her california girls video. Someone needs to really tell her that shooting frosting out of your boobs is not sexy.

But Shelly - California girls are unforgettable, and one of the reasons for that is the frosting that shoots out of their boobs.
