Guys! Only 6 days into July and I've already failed to post for 2 days in a row! How could this happen?

I'll tell you how it happened: the gods are clearly against me. I know this, because not only did they foil my attempts to post for the past 2 days, but they also stymied my fireworks-watching plan on the 4th of July. But all of that is a story that will be told soon enough.

For now, just know that the only reason I wasn't faithful to my commitment is because my laptop has stopped working. Or rather, I think it works fine, but the screen has elected to no longer show me what is going on in there, save for occasional flashes. It has become an enigma to me, more like a magic eight ball than a personal computing device. I would have gone to work to post on my computer there (because I am just. that. dedicated.), but on the 4th I was incredibly busy having lots of fun, and then yesterday was equally hectic because I was preparing to fly, then flying, then sleeping.

So! Here I am now, safely in Houston, with access to a computer and considerable free time (at least, whenever my boss isn't asking me to do work or whatever). I plan to give you more exciting details on recent events either later today or tomorrow. Huzzah!
